Marine Environment Monitoring

KOEM monitors the marine environment at 425 stations and generates statistics to devise measures for marine environmental preservation. We also measure the marine water quality in real-time through the Ferry Box System composed of 20 automatic marine water quality measuring stations and regular-service vessels.
Marine Radionuclide Monitoring
KOEM has secured cutting-edge analyzers for monitoring marine radionuclides, and operates the Marine Radionuclide Monitoring with professional personnel. There are 60 stations nationwide to form the marine radionuclide monitoring, from which basic data is produced to enable the inspection of domestic and overseas marine radioactive pollution.
