Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation held a labor-management joint declaration ceremony for ESG management

- Leading social values by implementing ESG management in the public sector –

 

 

 

The Korea Marine Environment Management Corporation (KOEM, Chairman Han Ki Jun) announced on November 30, that it has held a labor-management joint declaration ceremony at its headquarters in Seoul to pledge its company-wide willingness to practice ESG management.

 

 

The labor-management joint declaration substance includes ▲ preparing an eco-friendly management system (E) to cope with the climate change crisis and create a sustainable marine ecosystem; ▲ leading to social responsibility (S) such as a safe working environment, job creation, shared growth, and regional win-win solutions; and ▲ establishing proper governance (G) through transparent and responsible ethical management, etc.

 

 

The corporation has previously established an internal dedicated organization and a committee under the board of directors on 25th,toexpandESGmanagementthroughouttheorganization.

 

 

"This declaration reflects the corporation's willingness to do its best to fulfill social responsibility through eco-friendly and ethical management," Han Ki Jun, chairman of KOEM, said, "As the only marine environment agency in Korea, we will strive to realize the values shared by the people, and make a sustainable development."

 

 

Kim Dong Ryeong, Head of the labor union, said, "We will actively participate in the implementation of ESG management for the sustainable development of the society and the survival of humankind by going further."
